Wash and Care

Getting ready for laundry day? You've come to the right spot. Maintaining your Tailgate Tikes apparel doesn't need to be a complex task. While our fabric is inherently robust and designed for longevity, you can enhance its softness, comfort, and stain resistance with a few additional measures and a touch of care.

We've assembled top-notch care recommendations, drawing from the expertise of both our dedicated team and our knowledgeable community. So, whether it's laundry day on the horizon or you're dealing with an unexpected spill, you'll be well-informed on the optimal methods for washing our clothing.

    • Turn Inside Out and Separate

Turn clothing inside out and sort by color and fabric weight. Separate light and dark colors to avoid color bleeding during the wash. To prevent tangling or excessive friction, zip or button up.

    • Pre-Treatment

Before washing, pre-treat any visible stains or spots on the clothing using a mild stain remover or detergent. Gently rub the stain with your fingers or a soft brush.

    • Wash Cold with Mild Detergent

For best results, use a gentle or delicate cycle with cold water. Use a mild, eco-friendly detergent specifically designed for delicate fabrics. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners.

    • Line Dry or Tumble on Low

Air drying is the best option for our clothing to maintain their softness and shape. Hang them up on a clothesline or drying rack in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight or heat sources. If using a dryer, select a low-heat or delicate setting.

    • Store in a Cool, Dry Place

Once the clothing is completely dry, fold them neatly and store them in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or moisture. Avoid hanging garments for extended periods as this can stretch the fabric.
