Are your products officially licensed?

Yes! Every licensed sale we make generates a royalty payment to the respective university to support their student athletes. Tailgate Tikes Collegiate Collection items proudly bear the Officially Licensed Collegiate Products hologram label, signifying their official licensing. We’re authorized by the universities and teams we represent to utilize their logos, namesakes, and trademarks.

What makes bamboo clothing perfect for children?

Bamboo clothing is perfect for children due to its softness and smoothness, making it gentle on sensitive skin and reducing the risk of irritation and allergies. It is naturally hypoallergenic, highly breathable with excellent moisture-wicking properties, and helps regulate body temperature. Should I choose a pajama set or a zippered onesie?

Choosing between a pajama set and a zippered onesie for your baby or toddler depends on ease of use, comfort, mobility, temperature regulation, and growth flexibility. Zippered onesies offer quick diaper changes and keep babies snug and covered throughout the night, making them ideal for cooler climates. Pajama sets provide greater freedom of movement for active toddlers and can be better for warmer environments with mix-and-match layering options. While onesies ensure complete coverage, pajama sets offer sizing flexibility. Both options have their benefits, so consider your child's needs and preferences.

How should I care for the bamboo clothing to maintain its quality?

To maintain the quality of bamboo clothing, wash it in cold or warm water on a gentle cycle using mild, eco-friendly detergents without bleach or fabric softeners. Air dry the clothing whenever possible, or use a low heat setting if using a dryer. Avoid excessive heat when ironing, and if needed, use a low setting with a cloth between the iron and the fabric. Handle the clothing gently to prevent stretching, and pre-treat stains with mild detergent or water and white vinegar. Tailgate Tikes was founded in 2023. Our story is rooted in a passion for sports and a deep love for the tradition of college football games and tailgating. Founded by Shannon (Go Hawkeyes!) and Bill (Go Hoosiers!) proud parents of Toddler Twins, our brand reflects the cherished memories of our own childhoods spent immersed in the excitement of game day.

Pre-Order Policy

Thank you for your interest in purchasing pre-order and or purchase option items from Tailgate Tikes. We want to ensure that you have a clear understanding of our policies regarding the shipment and processing of pre-order items and or purchase options. Please carefully read the following information before making a purchase:

Payment in Full:  Payment in full is required for all Tailgate Tikes Pre-Orders and or Purchase Options.

Approximate Shipment Timeframe:  Tailgate Tikes will provide an estimated timeframe for the shipment of pre-order and or purchase options. However, please note that these dates are approximate and are not guaranteed. We strive to fulfill orders within the provided timeframe, but unforeseen circumstances may arise that could cause delays.

Processing Window:  Pre-order and or purchase options require additional processing time beyond our normal 1-3 day processing window. Please understand that these items are not readily available for immediate shipment, and they may require additional time for production, inventory allocation, or other logistical considerations.

Shipping Upgrades:  Upgrading the shipping method for a pre-order and or purchase option item does not constitute a faster processing time. The selected shipping method at checkout will only apply once the pre-sale item has been processed within the given dates. Therefore, even if you choose a faster shipping option, it will not expedite the processing time for pre-sale items.

Shipment with Pre-Sale Item:  Once the pre-order item has been processed within the provided dates, it will be shipped along with any other items in your order. If you have purchased additional items that are not part of the pre-order and or purchase options, they will be shipped separately based on our standard processing and shipping procedures.

Communication and Updates:  Tailgate Tikes will strive to keep you informed about the progress of your pre-order item and or purchase options. We may send periodic updates regarding any changes in the estimated shipment timeframe or other relevant information. Please ensure that your contact information is accurate and up to date to receive these notifications.

Order Changes and Cancellations:  If you wish to make changes to your pre-order and or purchase options order or cancel it altogether, please contact us at info@tailgatetikes.com as soon as possible. While we will make every effort to accommodate your request, please note that changes or cancellations may not be possible if the pre-sale item has already entered the processing stage.

Return and Refund Policy

Tailgate Tikes Return and Refund Policy

We want you to love your Tailgate Tikes purchase, but if you’re not completely satisfied, we’re here to help!

Return Policy

You have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following criteria:

  • Unworn or unused.
  • In its original packaging.
  • With tags still attached.
  • Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, contact us immediately via our Contact Us page so we can resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns on:

  • Sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges

If you need a different size or style, the quickest way is to place a new order after initiating your return through our Start a Return or Exchange page. Once your return is processed and approved, we’ll issue a refund to your original payment method.

European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

For orders shipped to the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days for any reason. Items must still be in their original condition (unworn, unused, with tags, and in original packaging). A receipt or proof of purchase is required.

Refunds

Once we’ve received and inspected your return, we’ll notify you of the approval status. Approved refunds will be processed within 2 business days to your original payment method. Please allow extra time for your bank or credit card company to post the refund.

If you haven’t received your refund after 5 business days, please contact us via our Contact Us page.

Shipping Policy

Free Shipping:
Our Free Standard Shipping offer applies to orders of $75 or more, shipped within the 48 contiguous U.S. states (referred to as "Tailgate Tikes Free Shipping"). This offer does not extend to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, including American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, U.S. Military Installations, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or international locations (referred to as "Shipping Cost Areas"). Orders shipping to these locations will incur standard shipping charges.  In addition, order under $75, standard shipping charges will apply.

If you are located in a "Shipping Cost Area" and have questions about placing your order, please contact our customer service team for a shipping quote. We are happy to assist you in finding the most cost-effective shipping options.

Standard Delivery Time:  3-8 Days

Expedited Delivery Time: 3 business days (Order by noon EST, allow extra day for orders placed on weekends or after 12pm EST Monday - Friday)

Overnight Delivery Time:  Next business day (Order by noon EST, allow extra day for orders placed on weekends or after 12 pm EST Monday-Friday)

For late, lost, or items damaged in transit: we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.  We do everything we can to ensure your experience at Tailgate Tikes makes your life just a little easier, and your satisfaction is important to us. Please contact us at info@tailgatetikes.com for inquiries on your shipment, and we can initiate a thorough search of your shipment with the transit company.

For missing items: it is possible your shipment was split based on product availability, and that the missing items will be shipped when they become available. Your shipment confirmation will include a list of all products included in your shipment. 

Parcel Forwarding Companies: If you choose to use a parcel forwarding company, we will not be liable for any damage, defect, or loss that occurs. We will not offer replacements or refunds for orders or items that are reported missing or damaged that we reasonably believe to have been delivered to a parcel forwarding company. Any order addressed to a parcel forwarding company is placed at your own risk. Tailgate Tikes is not responsible for lost or stolen packages.

Tailgate Tikes Free Shipping: If your order qualifies for the Tailgate Tikes Free Shipping Offer, your Order will be delivered within the Standard Delivery Time defined above through USPS Ground Advantage or the next comparable shipping service. 

Tailgate Tikes Shipping Protection Policy:  At Tailgate Tikes, we are committed to ensuring that your purchase reaches you safely and in perfect condition. We understand that sometimes, things can go wrong during the shipping process that are out of our control. To offer you peace of mind and protect your order from theft, loss, or damage during transit, we provide an optional Shipping Protection service for a nominal fee of $1.00.

How It Works

  1. Opt-In: During checkout, you have the option to add Shipping Protection to your order for an additional $1.00. This fee is non-refundable and must be selected at the time of purchase.

  2. Coverage: The Shipping Protection covers your order from the moment it leaves our facility until it is delivered to you. In the unfortunate event that your order is lost, stolen, or damaged during transit, Tailgate Tikes will replace the items or refund the purchase price of the affected goods.

  3. Reporting an Issue: If you believe your order has been compromised, you must contact our customer service team within 7 days of the scheduled delivery date. Please provide your order number and any relevant details or evidence of the issue (e.g., photos of damage, police report of theft).

  4. Resolution: Upon verification of your claim, we will process a replacement of the same item(s) at no additional cost to you. If the item(s) are no longer available, we will offer a refund of the purchase price of the lost, stolen, or damaged goods.

Shipping Protection Terms & Conditions:

  • Shipping Protection is only available at the time of purchase and cannot be added after your order has been placed.
  • The protection fee is non-refundable unless the entire order is cancelled before it has been shipped.
  • The Shipping Protection does not cover issues related to delivery delays.
  • Claims must be submitted within 7 days of the scheduled delivery date. Claims reported after this period may not be eligible for coverage.
  • Tailgate Tikes reserves the right to deny claims that are deemed fraudulent or beyond the scope of the Shipping Protection coverage.
